Research and Dissertation Grants

Call for grant proposals now open. The Association for Institutional Research (AIR), with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), operates a research and dissertation grant program that supports research on a wide range of issues of critical importance to U.S. higher education. NSF and NCES support grants that focus on increasing the number of researchers using national datasets and that demonstrate the contribution these datasets make to the national base of knowledge on higher education policy, theory, and practice. Two levels of grants are offered:

• $40,000 Research Grants
• $20,000 Dissertation Grants
